Amaroun

Made a Fire

Amaroun’s second single on LGM, “[Made a Fire] was written in a heightened state, in the aftermath of my coming out”.

“It’s a narrative progression from my previous single Bed Bugs, where I was deep in confusion, distraction and escapism. In ‘Made a Fire’ I’ve found clarity in the thrill of meeting someone new. This song is simply gratitude in musical form for that person and that feeling.”

Amaroun

Bed Bugs

’Bed Bugs’ is a truly unique slice of kaleidoscopic pop music for the 21st century, existing at the sonic crossroads where Erykah Badu, PJ Harvey and Feist meet. Produced by Kristofer Harris (Ghostpoet, Belle & Sebastian) and mastered by Mandy Parnell (LCD Soundsystem, Bjork, Tame Impala).

The track has already been very well received at radio, ahead of release in November. Huw Stephens at Radio 1 kicked things off, followed by Maz Tappuni on Radio X and Chris Hawkins at BBC 6 Music.

Mono Club

Memory Critical

Mono Club’s debut single, Sky High and Submarine, went straight onto the BBC 6 Music playlist, where it stayed for over a month. Steve Lamacq has described them as one of his favourite new bands and they have received widespread support across 6 Music and Radio X.

Their next single, Memory Critical, will be released on LGM Records on the 11th October. ‘Memory Critical’ is harmony led psych-pop at it’s very best, mixed by Dave Eringa (Manic Street Preachers, Roger Daltry), mastered by Ed Wood (Twin Atlantic, The Who).
